"At the end of 2004, I first came into contact with Sascha, whose project EMERGE had come to my attention. He showed interest in a collaboration and edited a piece that I sent him. After that I continued working on the new mixes and the result was "Die kosmische Zygote" (the cosmic cygote). The track was released a little later (2006) on the French label taâlem as a 3" CDR.

In the course of the re-releases, Sascha, fortunately, agreed to repeat the experiment, because I wanted to add a fresh flavour to the original release, which can still be obtained from taâlem. This time Sascha got a whole box of short sketches and field recordings while I was working in parallel with the same source material. Sascha returned me a wonderful piece of music, which I was then able to use for the final mix - just like in 2004. We are very happy with the result, which is quite different from the sound aesthetic of the first collaboration. A new artwork rounds off the whole affair.
